Amber said : 'we need to appeal it to the right target audience , males ..... a cheesy american theme would be rememberable"

Meeting- The aim of the meeting was that we wanted to achieve suggestions for our advert about the product ‘the draws’. Our goals we wanted to achieve  for our advert for the product that we chose ‘draws’, by the following lesson we would like to finish and come up with a final idea and to complete a storyboard that would help us visually with our advert.

Achievements- our achievements was that we came up with ideas for ideas for our adverts, for inspiration we looked at at a few adverts to get inspiration of existing products . Then we each created a storyboard of ideas for an advert.

In conclusion- i felt that this meeting went successful because we all put in ideas for our advert for our commercial. Our ideas that we discussed was considered such as two actors. I think that we worked well as a team.

This screen shot of the agenda shows that our group has a discussion about the product that we wanted to advertise . It also shows that one of our group members (Rianna) took the photos of the product while the rest of us was thinking of possible names for the products , (between  a table and the draws) . The outcomes was that we chose the draws for our chosen product to advertise / make a advert for. Elliot decided on the name of the draws 'BlockMiester' , and we agreed this would be a good name as it is unique and the shape is like a block .

Our group decided on the product cloud 90 by the apperance , design , shape and the colour which is bright and shows elegance and the class. Our group decided on the pictures that we wanted to keep to use for our blogs by the differnt angles .


Action Plan 
As a group we need to follow up and need to complete production diaries to the task that we will undertake. 


Minutes of meeting 
The task was to photograph all the products and decided which one you would like to focus an advert for.

Tom - "who is going to photograph the prodcuts ?"

Rianna - "Ill don't mind doing it, as i am a photography student"

Amber - 'okay me and the others can brainstorm ideas"

Elliot- "I like the draw product the best from Rianna's photographs"

Tom- "me too"

Rianna- "I took images showing all different angles of the products"

Amber- "I think this product will be more appealing to a wider demographic audience."

Rianna- "okay so we agree that our product will be the draws"

Elliot- "Yes"

Action Plan
For the follow task we need to create a script that will explain what our advert will look like which will be done by 27th March.  We need to organise any props that we will need for our advert and to look for possible locations with contingency locations in mind incase we are unavailable on that day. 

Agenda Production Meeting

We are going to plan the production process for our chosen product by creating some storing boards and a script once our idea is clear,and planning what equipment will bee needed and the actors involved in the process. By allocating roles this with clearly indicate what each member of our group is responsible for. The main equipment that we will need will be a camera, tripod, scripts, the product, any other props. Each member of our group will be responsible for creating there own storyboard, which will then be put together as one idea. This will give us clear structure for our advert. Once we have a clear indicating of what our advert is going to look like from our storybooks we will be involved in writing a script. 


Key decisions happened 
The roles that will be taken into concideration will be that we will all have the responsibly of taken on the roles of storyboard ideas and producing our own script. Elliot and Rianna will have the responsible role of finding possible actors for our film. If there is a member of our group away the roles may be varied and roles will be switched. We have a clear indication of the targets that will be set out for each day/ week as we have made a guideline of deadlines to help us keep on track. This has helped us keep to our targets and show our progress. 

Action Plan 
The action plan that we need to follow up is to make sure we have our actors and a contingent plan for our actors if they are away due to sickness or that are not available on the filming day. Also we need to finish our scripts, which will be done by the 30th March

The roles that will be taken into concideration will be that we will all have the responsibly of taken on the roles, Tom and myself will be in charge of recording any location recces and as a group we will decided on the best diction for filming. Rianna and Elliot will be in charge of finding actors bearing in mind a contingency plan for both actors and for location which we will decide as a group. Tom- "i took location recce for the SDC, a classroom in south block and one in main block"

Elliot- i like the atrium the best as it more spacious and your recce's suggest that the lighting is best"

Rianna- "yeah i agree, i like the space and the lighting which will be good for the final filming"

Amber- "Yeah i agree when i was looking at all the locations, this is probably the most accessible, available room"

Tom- "yeah i think that we should shoot our final film here"

Amber- "we need to have a contingency plan is well, like a plan b of location"

Rianna- "i think our second location should be the one that Tom did in South block"

Elliot - "yeah ok that looks the second best location"

Amber- "its quite darker than the Atrium so we might have to bring some lighting if we will here"

Elliot-" if we sort the blinds out in the class room that will make it brighter"

This screen shot shows the booking of our team (Elliot , Rianna , Tom & me) of filming & editing for our advertisment for the draws 'BlockMiester draws'.
The booking shows that we booked friday period 3 , lunch and period 4 .
(however Elliot was away on these filming days , so it was just me , tom & Rianna filming) .
We also decided that we was going to create two versions of the advert , one was going to be the original and the other is a shorter version . The reason being we wanted to make the advert close to real as possible , and on t.v they shorten the advert once it has been seen over a period of time .
We also edited in a lesson and the advert is completed .

Legal and ethical requirements

The legal and ethical requirements that we would have to consider and follow are by the ASA or ( advertsing standers authority ) who check media sources before it is published or aired. Consumers have the right to complain about ads they have seen, which they believe to be misleading, harmful or offensive. To make sure that this doesn't happen we have made sure that we have not included any material that could be offensive or misleading. In our advert we have mentioned that the product is worth buying at a price of £99.99. If a advert has recieved many complains the ASA will take action and take the media source of air. http://www.asa.org.uk/  

Advertising Harmful Products

Different countries look differently on the advertising of vice products and services, striking a balance between placing personal responsibility on citizens and regulating what citizens are allowed to indulge in. The United States highly regulates some forms of vice, prohibits others and gives still others a free hand. For example, cigarette advertising is only permitted on specific media, excluding television and radio, while alcohol advertising is allowed on all media. In order to follow these ethical issues we have made sure that nothing invloved in our advert has any harmful products that would effect the customers if they was to buy the product.

Advertising Tactics

Advertising tactics present additional ethical challenges. Advertisers have a range of less-than-ethical yet legal tools at their disposal, including subliminal advertising, emotional appeals, taking advantage of less educated individuals, spreading propaganda for political campaigns, and other tactics ethical advertisers consistently refrain from using. At the end of the day, consumers will be more attracted to companies that do not use underhanded, psychologically manipulative tactics to gain their business. In our advert we haven't included anything other than the product itself, we haven't used any advertisng techniques in order the help drive the product and sell e.g. to make the audience feel sorry or hearted towards someone/ that would create an emotional effect.

Truth in Advertising

The Federal Trade Commission Act set forth requirements for truth in advertising and created the FTC to enforce the provisions of the act. The Bureau of Consumer Protection's Business Bureau notes that advertisements in the U.S. must by truthful, not deceptive and not unfair. Advertisers must also have evidence available to back up claims they make. The FTC defines deceitful statements as those that are likely to mislead consumers who act reasonably under normal circumstances and that are likely to affect consumers' purchase decisions. The FTC defines unfair advertisements as those that are likely to cause substantial, unavoidable injury when using a product, unless the injury is outweighed by the provable benefits.
In our advert we have made sure that our advert has truthful qualities and that we have shown the prodcut in a real life form, size and quality accuracy in order for the public to see the product visually. In our advert we talk about the qualities of our product and that if you buy our draws you can make magic happen. Which goes with our magic draw theme, that our draws are magic.

Contingency plans

Product- If we are unaviable to use the product i.e. people are using it already, the designer decides he wants to take it home our plan b will be that we will do another alternative such as chose another product or book time when we could  use the product.

Camera- If we are unavaible to use the camera's i.e. somebody they are booked up by other people, they run out of battery. Our plan b will be that we make sure we book time when we could use the cameras and make sure that the cameras are fully charged.

Location - If we cannot use the loaction of our choice we will look and compare locations and then book them in advance to make sure that we can use the room for filming.

Mac - If all the mac are being used for editing by other pupils our group will book using a booking form, this will allow us to use the macs in our own free time and when they are avaible

Designer interview - if we are unavaible to interview the designer ourself our plan b will be that we will anaylise another group of what we have learnt during there interview.

Legal and ethical 
I have carried out research into legal and ethical issues within the ASA and Ofcom to ensure that i don't breech copyright laws or include any material within my advert that could be considered offensive or inappropriate for broadcast. I have not contained any martial that could be considered as I have create
my own music in a music software, will cannot be considered as copyright and i have shot everything in a appropriate manner that will appeal to my demographic audience. I ensured that in my scripted material and in my theme music that there wasn't any offensive language that would be portrayed within my advert, this also made it relevant to my target audience. I used soft and engaging language that would appeal to my demographic.
